Hi,
I have arrived in Canada on work permit as software project leader which is valid for one year. Do i have any option to apply for PR immediately and immigrate while I am inside Canada.

You´ll have to read through Canada´s immigration programs to find out if you qualify to apply:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp
If you don´t want to do this research yourself then you´ll need to hire an immigration consultant.

Of course you do but you must act very fast due to the CAP the Conservatives have imposed.
