Subject: happy Valentines Day
My girlfriend, her daughter and I just came back from Cactus Club Cafe for Valentine dinner. Holly, luckily I reserved table, tonight everywhere is full. Young couples with roses and chocolate. Sometimes some couples will stop you and greet you with ?? happy Valentines day?? and we exchanged chocolates. For most of people we didn??t even know each other. Just simply go there and introduce yourself, like ?? Hi guys, how are you doing today? My name is Yijie, I hope you have a great Valentines Day!?? and pass them chocolate. We had to go home early because of kid can??t stay too late; otherwise maybe we would go to watch movie. You walk on the street. Everywhere is nothing but sweet, people are nice, their partners fulfill them. I hold my girlfriend??s hand and walking beside oceanfront of Nanaimo and watched sailboats were crossing Georgia strait. In my mind, I told myself that hopefully, our gap would be easily cross. My girlfriend and I just want to enjoy right now, this movement, even just this year, today. She seldom mentioned about our future, only me, everyday think too much about our future, house, mutual funds, kids, even national day care program held in Vancouver today. As you guys know that, it??s not easy for cross culture engagement, not even mention promise and commitment. I really hope our story is not like Cherry Boom, quick in quick out.
Sigh, Valentine suppose to be happy, well, for a family with kid, two full-time parent, that??s all we can do for today. Welcome you guys share your romantic story of today.
For me, life is so beautiful in Canada. Life is a miracle; even my girlfriend??s daughter is not my daughter, watching her grow up this year, inch by inch. When I came back to home, and see two of them, nothing can compare with that kind of sweet.
Happy Valentines day!!!!

I got a promise today that we will never spend valentines day apart every again. It is a nice promise.

For the first time in 2 years, the post office was kind to me. My guy got his parcel the exact day I would have wanted. Big cards, lots of chocolate, a Roots Canada T-shirt and some cute underwear. He was very shy about the underwear. I knew he would be- that is why I sent it. The part that made me smile the most... was that he ate all the chocolate in one sitting. Wondered why he did not feel so good afterwards. More reasons to smile.

I am not a big fan of legislated affection but today was a good day.

I hope next year I can get my PR status. However, I think that??s just a dream for me, at least takes another a year and half. No matter what I have already done whatever I should do. Well, if I really get PR, we gonna spend in Niagara fall, spend in Cancun,
Spend in Hawaii, Las Vegas. I keep go to schools, working this half-decade. However, I think I found my Nederland, that??s Nanaimo. It??s the least crazy place in the earth. Nice people, of course nice girls here. Hardly want to move out from Vancouver Island again, maybe they have much better opportunity for young guys, well, there are not too many places in the earth can let you feel, wow, it??s my home, it??s home!
