Subject: will I lose the permanent resident card?
I applied for Pr card on July, 2013, and landed on Nobember , 2013, my mother in-law has been trying to control our life, and I am not behaving as she wants . my wife is standing with her mother, and already claimed a separation. since I came to canada, i am responsible for all the financials with us both. now my wife moved to her mothers, and threatened to divorce with me. So will I lose the pr card because of the divorce caused by her. Also, My wife´s mother ever threatened me on email.

I am an conditional PR , and have a kid on the way.

$50.00 what world do you live in?

FRANK you are not responsible for any financial matters. Your wife sponsored you, not the other way around. Start compiling evidence against your Mother In-Law and Spouse while playing super nice. Never state you will do this or that. Do not cut off the money train. Learn to send e-mail transfers so that there is a record of funds being transferred to former spouse. Sometimes forget the password so she has to communicate with you directly.

To order someone removed from Canada there has to be a hearing in which you would have to been found to be inadmissible. A 40 (1) of the Act requires the (applicant) to have withheld or misrepresented a material fact that could reasonably be seen to induce an error in the administration of the Act. There is case Law that would support your assertion in your post.

Start acting like the best Dad in the world. Communicate with your spouse how you want to do this or that with your child. Focus on the main problem here (Mother In-Law) we all have stories. Your wife created a child with you because she wanted a child with you.

Did your mother In-Law threaten you, yes or no? Keep that as a record. Do not debate anything with Mother In-Law.

Get smart Retain a qualified, experienced Immigration Counsel who can prove that they have won similar cases.

Being an Ex-Hearings and Appeals Officer with CIC you seeking out a Lawyer makes me worry.

Hiring a Lawyer will cost three times what any Consultant who may have more experience would charge. Just because they are a Lawyer does not mean they will represent you well or that they have any experience in your area of concern.

lawyers vs consultants (in reply to: will I lose the permanent resident card?)
Come on Roy, stop picking on lawyers. We both know that there are consultants who charge more than many lawyers and we both know that some lawyers know more than some consultants. Many of the consultants I know are very impressive in their work ethic, integrity and the way they care for their clients. I can say the same for lawyers. I would encourage people out there not to assume that any given lawyer charges more than any given consultant, and not to assume that any given lawyer knows more about a specific kind of case than any given consultant. There are many consultants I would be very pleased to have working beside me.
