Hello
I received a letter from immigration in June informing me that i am approved for permanent residence the final stage(H&C), ther was no date for the landing interview in the letter.
I Quote from the immigration letter " At the time of the landing interview bring this letter and all original documents"
No date assigned in that letter.
I felt SOMETHING missing in the letter and who typed the letter did not include the landing interview date???.. SO I called immigration in June (SAME DAY I RECEIVED THE LETTER) asking about the interview date .. The immigration client service said no DATE for interview yet then i called in July and they told me the same thing no date set up.
Yesterday i called immigration to check about the landing interview date and they told me that i missed the date for landing interview which was in July 22. I was shocked!! and i explained to immigration client service that i did not get a letter for the landing interview and i called in June, and July asking for any landing interview date and immigration told me no date and i have to wait for a letter from immigration for the interview date.
The client service was confused because she can see that i called before asking about interview date and they told me i have to wait for the letter.
The immigration client service told me that she sent email to my local office to reschedule for a new landing interview and told me if i did not get a response before the end of the month i have to call immigration back and report that.
My Questions:
1 - what is the time frame i am allowed to get my permanent residence before it expires..I heard that i have 6 months to claim my permanent residence??.
2- should i go to my local office in Toronto and explain my situation.
3- WHATS YOUR ADVICE REGARDING MY SITUATION
Please i need some urgent advice.. Thanks Much in advance

First many of my stage one clients waited a year or more for their Landing Interview appointment. Was this a normal H&C or a In-Canada Spousal Sponsorship application?
****Highly unlikely that you and your dependents passed background checks in two months.
Write Etobicoke CIC and inform them of your correct mailing address. Do not go to Etobicoke they do not want to deal with you. Your buddies at the Call Centre informed them.
