Subject: A permanent visa process after divorce
  Hello there,
We with my spouse applied for Canadian permanent visa two years ego. My spouse is a principal applicant. We got an answer few months ago that our case was succeeded and that we maybe called for an interview.
We are separated and would like to divorce legally. Though we are friendly and would like to get permanent visa to move to Canada with our son.
I am interested if divorce has a negative influence on a process of getting a permanent visa?
Thanks in advance,
Sellen

Divorce clearly changes your points.

Divorce when it occurs will have to be reported to CIC.

Now if you two sit tight and get divorced when you migrate to Canada no problem.
