My son in law is visiting and his visa says expire 2021 does it mean he can stay here for 7 years .He is in the process of permanent residency

(in reply to: visa stay) No - he can´t stay until 2021. He´s allowed to stay for six months as a visitor from the time he entered Canada (unless he was granted a visit of less than six months by immigration when he entered Canada). If he wants to stay longer, he will have to apply for an extension to his visit.

(in reply to: visa stay) A Visitor Visa does not grant Visitor Status into Canada.
a Canadian Visitor Visa (CVV) prevents the airline from being charged removal costs if at the POE Port of Entry that person seeking to visit Canada is refused entry as a visitor.
Spousal sponsorship outside of Canada is normally faster and the preferred route.
Focus on proving that they are in a genuine relationship.
