Subject: Buffalo Visa Office
Hi there, I got a letter from Buffalo in Mid-December saying that they need an additional document from me and that an interview will not be require. I sent in the document the next week, and I have not heard anything back yet (e-client still says In Process). How do I know Buffalo even received the document I sent back? When should I start getting nervous?

Hi Jon,

Exactly the same as me. I received a letter for addtional documentation on Dec 6, I mailed back what they required on December 10. On Feb 1, I sent a fax to Buffalo to check that they received everything they needed, but no reply. My eclient still says ´in process´. I am a family class applicant.

Still waiting,
Ozinca

I think the only way to know that your documents have reached Buffalo is through your Post Office tracking number.

You are right Mr Ozz, The Future Immigration Officer: Buffalo bastards never acknowledge.

I´ve given up. The buffalos have taken my CAD $1500 and have made me spend more money in postage, translation, police certificates... They can take it, that´s OK.

At least, the Canadian Government is not a war-prone government like the US government, and the money they have stolen from my pocket will not be used in supporting a war.

Since three weeks ago, I´ve been considering my case closed. Fuck the bastards in Buffalo! I wish each one of those immigration officers the worst of luck in the whole universe.

Ozz...has your wife had any luck talking with her MP? I am assuming that she is sponsoring you? I am sure you have the info somewhere in the forum but it is hard to find. What steps have been completed on your file?

what are your options? You talk about your beautiful wife and child...

your situation makes me very sad.

Sharon and Yijie,

Unfortunately it´s over for me. IA letter and extra Brit police certificates were requested in December 04 after 10 months of submitting application in CPC. Additional documents re-submitted last month. Wife contacted MP, but no major changes.

I´ve decided I´m not continuing with the process and that they should move to my home country, however, wife refuses to leave Canada. Therefore we have decided to let distance split us and have stop contacting each other. I now have no reason to continue waiting. I´ve started to make arrangement to return to my home country. I guess I did not pass the test... However, I must say that I feel so much relieved now that I don´t have to think about the immigration process.

Hi everybody,

The only way to find out is Buffalo get your mail is by tracking number, no other way. I just checked with the DMP who did medical exams to my wife and I ask for the tracking number and the courier that he used, I cheked in the internet and I least I know he sent the medical exams to Ottawa. I did the same for Buffalo I used a reliable courier and I checked with tracking number. I hope I can help anyone.

Good Luck

Ozz, I am so sorry. I wish there was something I could say that would encourage you to hang on just a little while longer. You were so excited about seeing your family at Christmas time.

I can relate to your wife´s reluctance to move away from Canada. In the dark days of our immigration process, we had the same discussions. I do not know if your wife is a Canadian national but my anxiety about giving up a secure job, language barriers etc made it all pretty scary. The biggest issue was that once I would leave Canada...and create a life in a developing country would likely end any opportunity to come back to Canada and re-establish my current standard of living. The very reason R wanted to leave his home country for more opportunity is the exact same reasons I did not want to move there. No future.

I am going to hold out hope that your situation will rapidly change so you can move forward with your dreams of being with your family.

Thanks Sharon, for your post. I understand her position, for exactly the same reasons you considered before leaving Canada. Unfortunately, the immigration system did not work in our favor... We were unlucky, I guess...

I feel sad to hear you have given up. At some point I was having the same feeling, I was developing anxiety, loosing sleep, having difficulties with my partner because I was abusing of alcohol . Of course, not being able to work and having all kinds of time in your hands can lead to follow the wrong path.
What I would say:: If you haven´t suspended the process Try to have a little bit of more patience. At least you are still working( I guess you applied from outside Canada).
Can you imagine how useless people who apply within Canada feel???For me it´s over thanks god but I felt the same way and maybe much worse.
