Hi. If someone gets a letter from immigration saying there citizenship is going to be revoked due to misrepresentation, what timelines are we speaking of. We would be under the new fast tracked system. How long would it take to get the court date?

CIC is planning to revoke your Canadian citizenship and you ask for advice on an Immigration forum???

So if they call you for a hearing next week will you retain Counsel the day before?

If you want to retain your status it is best to retain Counsel sooner than later.

Roy for your information it is not i. I reported my then partner, went thru hell and continue to go thru hell. I worked with a gentleman at CBSA, to make a solid case. I was and continue to be victimized by this " gentleman". Due to privacy issues there is no information out there so i turned here. Its been more than 4 years since i reported him. I understand the person gets a letter- i think it may have happened due to escalated threats against i , and i was just curious at how much longer til this nightmare is over. With the evidence i gave there is no lawyer that can help him. None!!!!

Scorned? jilted!!! No Roy a clear case of a Nigerian man with a wife and family back home, criminal background- serious jail time - he was already deported and back with yet another false name so he could get citizenship. Its called fraud Roy, and misrepresentation at its finest. My CBSA officer was whom i gave my information to - no - not a buddy- if so dont you think id be asking him? He was thorough isnt that what we would want? My goodness if all immigration people think twisted like you no wonder your system is in shambles. First you assumed i was the guilty party, now im not the guilty party but a jilted scorned woman, no Roy im a woman who does whats right and follows our laws, respects orhers and expects respect from others. You are the cynical , maliced one.

Dearest Jen

I was the media adviser on this W5 story about marriage fraud.

http://www.ctvnews.ca/broken-vows-marrying-for-immigration-not-love-1.446615

I warned them that even though this woman was walking around Parliament Hill with a door on her back claiming that Canada´s Immigration policy was an open door that their are two sides to all stories.

There is a thing called "BACKGROUND CHECKS" and all applicants have to be fingerprinted. People for years have tried to change names and reapply but have been screened out. Could this individual legally enter the country again as you say under another name - I doubt that.

The above mentioned woman ALSO considered herself a Law abiding individual when she accused her partner.

Was she correct labeling him as one who abused the system????

WHOOPS, SHE GOT HIM REMOVED.

If you have clear evidence contact the RCMP Passport Control Department.

Roy:;

He was not deported from canada and returned under a false name back to canada. Roy, he is a Nigerian was deported from England due to criminal fraud, back to his homeland in Nigeria as his original personee. He then proceeded to make his way back to England, then on to Canada in the fraudulent name. he applied for his canadian pr and citizenship in this fraudulent name, obtained it, hid his criminal past, his birth name and much more. evidence obtained matches his fingerprints to Chelmsford prison in England where he was charged and convicted of criminal fraud in his birth name to his fingerprints here in canada, different fraudulent name

My question was when someone receives their letter from cic that their citizenship is potentially being revoked, what time frame are we looking at? There is much to this story, i am not a scorned woman but rather patiently waiting for justice!! If you can answer my question that would be the best xmas gift of all :).
