The first thing to do is to get yourself a Canadian style CV/Resume.

Express Entry Canada (in reply to: EXPRESS ENTRY REGULATIONS RELEASED.) The express Entry route is quite clever however it fails to support trades people as I would have liked. This means many are prevented from entering the pool and are unable to apply without an employer or provincial nomination. This I thought defeats the whole purpose and I hope the CIC soon relax the rules.

Express Entry to Canada (in reply to: EXPRESS ENTRY REGULATIONS RELEASED.) I agree with the comments about trade workers however I am certain with will be picked up at the provincial nomination level as it maybe so that Toronto has enough trades people of high school level of education only but Alberta would certainly have a greater need.

I saw today that many of the provinces have yet to open their visa program and I assume this will happen this month. In my experience new immigration systems and visas always start slowly to avoid any unexpected faults being found on going live.
