Subject: CIC Problems & Delays
  Hi everybody,

I have learned through some sources that some lawyers have sued officers at CIC henceforth that is why there is a delay in application responses in addition to the strike which is still going on. Also, I have heard that from nowonwards, it would take approxiametly 2 years for people who applied from the US to get PR done from the start of the application till final Passport request.

Please feel free to give your comments if you feel mine are incorrect. I am happy to hear some input.

Thanks

When you start throwing timelines around that spell malicious delays you really cause people here a lot of distress. You need to back up your comments with verifiable facts or do not bother posting this kind of stuff.

What makes you think there is still strike action? the membership vote happened in December after 3-4 days of job action in October. Nothing on the CIC website. I read 2 newspapers and several websites every day. I have not seen word one about lawyers suing immigration officers! Not even sure it is possible.

My eyes and ears are not perfect but my guess is you are fostering a very bad rumour.

Hi Sharon,

I respect your comments and believe me, I am in the same boat like you guys. I am also waiting to hear from CIC Buffalo since I havent heard from them a long time. You have no idea how frustrated I am with CIC and how sloppy they are in their work especially when it comes to updating e-client application status. I hope you dont take my comments seriously as I have seen you past comments and really relied on them for bringing up my confidence.

Regards,

Jango Fett

***** or whattahec you are,

The poor guy Django didn´t mean to spread the hearsay. All he wanted is clarification and nothing else. So why give all the burden to him by asking proofs? Please be logical.

Perhaps the lawsuit he means is that old Razzooleh case that finally got finalised, and is affecting those old cases and causing delays in some offices. As far as I know this strike was over long time ago.
