Subject: How's the chance of commonlaw application
Hi,
I would like to know if there are already successful applicants for skilled worker who used common law as the status??? If there is none, what do you think is the chance of being approved ???

many thanks....

your chance are equal. Because there is no marriage certificate, there is an onus on you to prove the validity and longevity of the relationship. leases, credit cards,- anything that is in joint names, photos etc. You must build a case just like a lawyer would.

common law is treated like a marriage case!! its given the same priority, but again, u have to be careful when building up ur case! u have to prove to the visa officer that u are committed to the relation!! no worries if u have enough proofs!!

thanks sharon and amy, both of you are really nice.... actually, we are getting married soon... Can we just update the status anytime after the marriage??? Or we leave it as is . We are afraid that the processing time might take longer if we change the status... what do you think????
