Subject: Any new info on Paris Skilled Worker timeline? |

Hey there, does anyone know if there´s any new info as regards Skilled Worker processing times through Paris? Seems that the page was taken down a few days ago.
As far as I remember, there always was a bit of adiscrepancy between waht was CIC´s page and what was on the Paris embassy´s page (roughly a year VS. up to 3 years) . I have a funny feeling that the info that has been updated is now correct...
It would suck majorly if the waiting time really is now 24-36 months... Would require some major re-planning on my part...
Maybe Sharon can throw some light on the matter...? ;-)Cheers for any help anyone can provide! Just a quick q, if anyone finds info, can they post links? Thanks! Let´s keep our fingers crossed...

(in reply to: Any new info on Paris Skilled Worker timeline?) I cannot make any sense out of the Paris timelines. The stats are for 2004 - entire year. We began our application second half of 2004 and we are almost finished. that puts us at 1 year processing without and interview - but with a serious hick-up (2 months) in our paperwork.
We have to call our immigration officer on Monday about a specific matter, and I will see if we can get some internal info from them. The website has indicated a few months additional delay because of volume but they have not said it has gone fro 1-3 years! Something is not adding up.

(in reply to: Any new info on Paris Skilled Worker timeline?) Hi Sharon,
Yeah, something isn´t quite right. I have a couple of theories:
1) Maybe the processing times crept up steeply over several months, druing which the site wasn´t updated. Then whe it was updated, the gradual increase appeared as if it was one big sudden jump.
2) Maybe they are deliberately over-estimating the times it takes for most people so as to allow for the (slower) re-assesment of those application that were made when the pass score was higher and that have been re-submitted subsequently.
I sincerely hope it is the latter.
If you could ask an official about it when you speak with them on Monday, that´d be really appreciated, Sharon. Any light on this would be great as I could face the prospect of staying where I am, doing what I am doing for the next year or so. The idea of doing it for another 3 years, however, is not a good one... :-/
Oh, and thank you for your prompt reply!
