Starting today immediately, spouses sponsored from outside Canada can join their partners (sponsor) in Canada while the application process is still ongoing on a priority basis!!! No more separations!!! This is the best news ever!!!! I don´t care when the buffalos finish my case, all I wanted is to be in Canada with my family!!!

This is the biggest lie from CIC minister:

Too bad this doesn´t seem to mean that people waiting outside of Canada under the spousal class get to come in right away :-(

Does this mean if you have applied for an extension to your visitor visa and it hasn´t yet been processed that you will get a refund since I don´t need it to stay with my hubby here? I guess I´m reading this right. BTW I am being sponsored by hubby in Canada class.

this is not correct there is no way a immigration officer can let the spouse in canada while there application is in process

friend... I just read the press release. It is wonderful news for many people. Outside Canada applications do not seem to be affected - other than the lie about fast processing. We need to get you a visitors permit into Canada.

lets say someone is in canada and does not have any legal immigrant status right now.
IF he got married would he still be eligible to stay under the new rules?
