Subject: Migrating with a dependent who has autism |

Hi! My husband and I were planning to apply for migration and the agency told me that i´m qualified under the federal skilled worker program. However, i learned that Canada has restrictions when it comes to aspiring immigrants who have a dependent with special needs. My only son (8 years old) was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2, but we made it a point to give him the most appropriate interventions as soon as possible. He´s mainstreamed in a regular school right now and seems to be adjusting well.
I´m having a dilemma when i learned about this, and the most common reason for the denial was "will cause excessive demands on health and social services". Please i need help and an honest advice. Thank you
