Subject: Urgent query regarding spousal canadian sponsorshi |
|
|
|
Hello,
I am a Canadian Immigrant who has recently got married, and want to sponsor my wife. I have a few queries regarding the process:
1. I am currently (travelling) out of Canada and will be returning to
Canada in the second week of April. Can i get my papers submitted
while I am outside Canada? I am physically not present in Canada but am a canadian permanent resident and have address proof in Canada (Credit card bills coming to my address in Canada). I can mail the completed forms to my friend who can in turn mail them to CIC as this will save some time. Please
advice regarding this.
2. Do i need to change the details on my spouses passport like her new
name and marital status on her old (Indian) passport?
I will appreciate if you could respond to my queries asap so that i
can take prompt action for sponsoring my wife.
Regards,
Victor

Spousal Sponsorship (in reply to: Urgent query regarding spousal canadian sponsorshi) You can file your spouse application while you are outside. Since you live in Canada and outside on a short trip it is OK.
