Subject: worried: Income requirement for sponsorship
I understand that in a spousal sponsorhip, there isn´t a minimum income requirement to be met but I hear that immigration officials may deny an otherwise suitable application if they feel that we´d have difficulty establishing ourselves in Canada. Does anyone have info or experience about this? I own property in BC where we would live but am unemployed and may remain so for awhile.
Thank you in advance.

I´m sure they will consider your past record. If you were doing well before - there is no reason not to bring your spouse. I mean just because we loose job does not mean we also loose our spouse. Err... I mean hypotheically... so don´t give me a hard time...

You can always indicate you are looking for a job.
