Subject: Faxing Buffalo for Information
I WAS READING ON CIC Web-site that if you application is over 52 weeks in processing you can fax for a status.

I also called the number of Buffalo-CIC - same thing on a pre-recorded message. How good is that?

Has anyone been successful at getting a reply back?

I mean with the e-status which I´m sorry to say really has not been effective to give a correct status; will there be any success at getting a true status on fax?

Please share experience if you have been successful.

I am in the same boat as you. I applied in Feb 2004 and 52 weeks are almost over but I haven´t heard anything from Buffalo yet. I was thinking about sending them a letter in the mail.

That is 52 weeks from AOR to IA, not request for Passports.

So if you received IA within 52 weeks, then you are within the normal range. Otherwise fax an inquiry.

That figures...

Thanks for clarification. However, the recorded message does not say anything about the range; just says if you application is 52 weeks old you can fax in for info.

My question remains... Has anyone faxed CIC-Buffalo and got a reply on status? If so in what time frame?

Thanks in advance for sharing if anyone has a experience with the same.
