Thread is full so I started a new one.

To David :
Background / security checks are crucial for the time it takes, a lot depends on where you live and where you have lived before and how the cooperation of those countries are.The fact that Sharon´s case will probably be done in under a year proves that it can be less than 24/ 36 months as stated on the Paris site and certainly less than 27 /44 months as stated on the CIC site.
This is giving us hope again that we won´t have to wait for 3 years.
Oh and btw, up till 2 weeks ago, there was a link on the Paris site to skilled worker application kit, where they explained the whole procedure plus timeline and that timeline was between 7 and 13 months. Now the link is gone but up till recently you had 3 totally different timelines for the Paris office.

Hi John, Yes! I would like to believe what you and Sharon say, but it´s hard to do! I believe that Sharon, even if she said that they are applying for SW visa, they must be applying for a Family class, as she is the spouse of someone who want to get a PR card. In this case, it takes 6 months to complete the process. In other way, if you put all visa applications of any kind together, the processing time is dramatically lower that if you just take SW or Business Class, and I bet that most of the visas processed in Paris are for Quebec.
Keep in touch and share experiences!
David

Nope...Skilled Worker application. For a variety of personal reasons, plus the fact that the timelines were so close, we elected to have my fiance come on his own merits.

Entrepreneurial class is slower - that is for sure.

I checked our AOR and it said 1-3 years for processing, so we all got the same kind of confirmation.
