Subject: us citizens want to live full time in Canada
My husband and I are US citizens. Our only income is from a medical disability contract that is for life. We live very close to Canada now, but want to move there. Wondering if it is possible and not jeapordize his contract. If we lived there year round and how would US tax returns handled. His income is tax free, but he still files it. Also would Canada want taxes from this kind of income too? Also would we be put on the health care system after establishing residency. And we would like to purchase land and/or home now in preparation for moving asap. We adore Canada and it´s people. The US is getting to be too much for us. We want/need peace and serenity! Thank you for responding.
