Subject: Detroit website - update frequency
  Hi,

Does anyone have an idea how frequently Detroit updates their website with the new files received? I see the last update date as Jan 7th and they say on the website that the update is done once every month. Does anyone remember what the date was before Jan 7th?

Also, any one whose file # is on the queue - can you pl inform how long it took for the # to appear on the website, after you got the letter intimating of the transfer from Buffalo?

Thanks,

KG

Congrats on getting the citizenship.

Regarding the interview, I am being optimistic about getting a date soon. They have scheduled interviews till MArch 22nd at Detroit. And there are 189 files at Detroit that have not been scheduled for interview. If they go at the same rate they have been going, it will take till end of April for those files to be processed.

So I am hoping that the next batch of files ( which I hope will include mine !) will be scheduled in MAy.

THis is just a guess - I could be way off the mark!

Well, I am sure that you will agree with me when I say that it is reasonable for me to assume if someone says he/she has got citizenship in an immigration chat forum like this, that it is a recent event. That is why I congratulated you.

I agree that I am desperately looking to be in Canada; but it is certainly not because the grass looks greener there. This is a decision I made after several careful considerations. The biggest factor was that I am in tune with the values that Canada( and the free world ) stands for - liberty, personal freedom, respect for human rights etc. I am not sure if you can relate to that but it assumes significance given the back ground that I am coming from.

I do thank you for sharing your 25 years´ experience in Canada.
