Subject: If I go back china
First , Thank you very much for help.
Second,three more questions ;

I have been told that I can go back china waiting for the rest letters by using friend`s mailing address in US but I have to come to US for Interview. My questions are :

1.Interview for what? Is it a must or can be waived. (I hope it could be waived because I have submitted some proof documents such as US MBA diploma. I don`t want to come to US
for interview because it is very difficult to get visa. I hope everything can be done in US while I am waiting in China.)

2.If not, Should the interview notice be reached to me before or after IA/Medicals? How long should I wait from now on? (As you know I have to go back China before July
if I can not find job before my OPT ends.)

3.I have received file number,What`s the next and final pocedure? How many letters should I receive from
CIC?

Thanks.

1.Interview for what? : The interview can be waived . I have 75 + points and hoping for a waiver too. But you never know what type of question may arise in Officer´s mind and decide to call for an interview. My best luck is with you that you get a waiver but if not what ? I know it is very difficult to get US Visa but unfortunately one can not avoid cetain procedures laid down by CIC.

2.If not, Should the interview notice be reached to me before or after IA/Medicals? How long should I wait from now on? (As you know I have to go back China before July
if I can not find job before my OPT ends.) : I am not disappointing you but as per this forum people were called for an interview after they got a waiver . Sounds weired but it is true. Hope it will not happen in your case and you will get a waiver. Experience says that it will generally take 9-10 months (Buffalo applicants after application date) to get IA and medicals. This is just a guidelines our fate is in their (CIC) hands.

3.I have received file number,What`s the next and final pocedure? How many letters should I receive from
CIC? : You may receive following letters for sure

a)Initial Assesment
b)Medicals
c)Additional documents if required by CIC (This can be combined with a) and b) above.
d) And finally Passport Request to stamp Visa.

NOTE :Forum members please try to add add more to this to help out Rock

Thanks.

You can inform the CIc that you cannot appear for the interview because you do not have the US visa.
In this case what will happen is they will delay the proceedure because by that time you are in China.

Then they will ask for Chinese Police Clearance and its going to be a lot more inquiries pulling your file back...

What you can do is either transfer the file to China and wait more.. but thats still a fair deal.

Now regarding interview waiver... if you have sufficient points not just 67 but about 75+ as said earlier by Nanu... then there are good chances they will waive your interview...

But again coming back to China... If you are in China and they see that you have MBA degree from US sure the Canadian officer will be a bit impressed (althought they dont care) as other degrees are mostly local degrees. so your application will outshine a bit and may get a interview waiver in China... but in the US its tough...

Good luck
