Subject: Moving to Canada - New York
  Hello everyone,

I have just received a letter from Buffalo informing me that my file had been transferred to The Canadian Consulate in New York (I applied in Sep 2001). Any idea when I should get an interview date?
The last list of scheduled interview date back to April 2nd 2004.

See lint below:
http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/can-am/menu-en.asp?act=v&did=1896&mid=8&cat=1130&typ=1

Any idea when the new list should be posted?

I have done my medical (had my medical results sent to Buffalo by the doctor?s office about 6 months ago). Somehow I was never asked to send any FBI Clearance but I did get clearance from the FBI anyway. What?s next? Also, when should I start thinking about moving? Any tips on what to do or what not to do?

Thanks again for your help

Hi,

CIC NY will have the assesment of your application first. It is in the line presently. After the assesment of your file they would inform you about interview/waiver. You should not have done the medicals and FBI criminal check as there are chances to redo those. Medicals are valid for one year and FBI criminal check is valid for 6 months. That is why you should never invest your money and time unnecessarily in doing those checks. It saves yours and others processing time.

You should regularly check the site as they update the site frequently (my guess is every 15 days) for the news.

As I mentioned before your next step is the assesment of your application by CIC NY.

Don´t want to let you down, but moving is beyond consideration at this stage. Have enough patience! You still have to go through several stages.

Good luck.

e-Client Application List (in reply to: Moving to Canada - New York)
Hello,

Does anyone else have problems accessing the "e-Client Application List" link? I have not tried from another PC. I did access it a couple of times in the past. If I remember correctly, there was an option (I think) to block access from any PC. I may have blocked it by accident. Can anyone help?

Thanks again
