Hi Sharon ,
I assume that you are a local to Vancouver. Could you please tell me the proven approach to secure a job in Vancouver. Like are there some placement agencies where I should get registered to ? or online ? for all technology/high tech jobs or Human Resources entry level job ??
Your insight on this will be highly appreciated.
Also, what r the living expenses in a regular residence in vancouver...what is the rent for say 1 BR flat in a area which is easy for commute to main job centers of the city ??

(in reply to: Sharon : Local info for Job search in Vancouver) more answers. you can rent a 1 bedroom apartment for $7-800. it will not be downtown or fancy but it can be close to transit.

(in reply to: Sharon : Local info for Job search in Vancouver) I think it will be even cheaper if you share with your friends. My friends live in Fraser and Commercial, rent a three bedroom, 300dollar/each including utility.
If you have family, why don??t you consider move to some basement, it will be even cheaper. Or just share with other people.
In Lower Mainland, you don??t have to worry about public transit. it??s excellent. If I live in Lower Mainland, I would not prefer to have a vehicle. You can easily go to work by transit.
