| Subject: Canadian Expired Passport Travel To US |

Hi,
I am a canadian and I have expired canadian passport. Since I lost my citizenship card, it would take sometime (at least 6 months)to have new one. I went to canada passport office, and asked for the information. They said that I could travel to US or Mexico with an expired passport.
So I am just wondering if it is true?
If it is not, then what should I do?

I have travelled to US with expired passport. They do not like it...but as long as it is not WAY over expired...you should be fine. Get it fixed!

one more question, how could you guys come back with expired passport???? Canadian side no problem right?
I past one time to Tsawwassen with Driver licence. I wrote post before. I just told them I mistakely entered U.S and came back because I didn´t realize I traveled outside Canada, they let me in.

My dad misplaced his passport in Dec 2004 and flew to US with his expired passport and Driver´s license. When we called the airline they asked him to bring the expired passport along with another picture id such as driver´s license or OHIP (with picture) just in case.

my son´s passport expired in 2006 and we are leaving on a trip to Disney in 5 days - will we still be able to go if I have all the supporting documentation, birth certificate, social insurance number, health card, etc......

just found out my passport expired in oct. & have a 9:00 a.m. flight to U.S. tomorrow for a funeral on Tues. Will I be able to get in?

I want to go over to the US tomorrow, however my passport expired last week. Could I enter the US with an expired passport?

I wish to drive to Buffalo this coming long weekend. My passport has cut corners and says "Cancelled" It is valid till 21st Oct 2010. Can i go to Bufflo and use this cancelled passport?
