To Prospective Immigrants

Subject: To Prospective Immigrants
I´ve been reading this forum for quite a while and I would like to add my 2 cents worth to anyone who wants to immigrate to Canada.

1) As opposed to the States, Canada wants and welcomes you more if you have the right skills.

2) All the immigration officer wants is to put a check mark behind your name. So make his/her work easy, prepare all the documents requested as requested plus extra.

3) Let the documents speak on your behalf. Answer their questions before they even been asked, in writing. Make no room for doubts.

4) Have lots of patience and hope, you will definitely need it.

5) Prepare well ahead of time and be ready for any delay. Have a plan B-Z. Keep on living your life to the fullest while you wait.

6) Write down whatever goals you want to accomplish after you get the PR visa. People tend to forget. I did forget lots of stuff I was dreaming of before becoming a PR. Don´t lose that hunger to achieve the best, strive to the end cause that is what will differ you from the crowd who are already in Canada.
7) Expect the unexpected. Your higher education may be valued just enough to get you a position of a janitor.
8) Soo don´t give up. Keep on dreaming but with a sober mind. You´ll be happy once you achieve what you wanted.

Cheers!!!

Byron
