I´ve just been checking out this programme on the CIC website. It looks like I qualify for enough points etc. If I am successful in application under this programme would that mean I could just head off to Canada and then look for a job when I got there ? It all sounds too simple, ...somebody I talked to about this sort of thing once told me that without a sponsoring employer it was pracrically impossible to get in and that the application process would take two years....
Can anyone clarify?

(in reply to: Skilled worker immigration) if you wander through our fourm you will hear the stories of waiting. Depending on the region you are immigrating from it can be anywhere from 1-6 years wait to process an application. Sponsored employment is for the Provincial nominee program and those are very infrequent.

u can do it urself ..easily (in reply to: Skilled worker immigration) person who said that without sponsership it is not practical to get PR is not right. I suggest you to start reading posts here on this forum ( as sharon suggests) and figure out yourself what you wanna do. PR processing time is dependent on the location/consulate u r eligible to apply.
