Subject: Sharon for you
I am in a kind of confused state need your expert advice I applied for Canadian Immigration got my AOR in April 2004 and just last month I got a query as well to which I sent the docs they need.

I will be leaving US forever next month and will be moving to Hungary shall I change the address or shall I just change the address to my friends address here in US I trust him he will forward any document that I will get.

I got advice from few of my friends saying changing the address from US to Hungary will only delay and complicate the stuff instead of speeding.

If everything goes on fine then there is no issue but if they call me for an interview then it will be problem as I will not be in this country anymore, i guess if they call for an interview at that point i will have to change the address will that impact in anyways ?

Also if I get my medicals papers here In US can I get medical done in Hungary and after Medical can I get Visa stamped in Hungary instead of US

Please advice and suggest me how do I deal it. Also can you please tell me what are the steps involved in Immigration under Skilled class i mean next is medical and then Visa stamping that is it?

Awating for your valuable suggestion.

Thanks in Advance

Bill

I am definitely not an expert but here are my thoughts. I think I would be inclined to keep the address in the US. Hope that your interview is waived, and have your medicals done in Hungary. Obviously, the medicals must be done by an accredited practioner. Where do you intend to keep your settlement money?

what was the processing time suggested in your application?

If you are called for an interview... not sure what to tell you. I would try to return to the US to keep that appointment.

Try calling an immigration consultant. Preferably in Canada. They may give you a quick answer. Not an easy question and I would hate to be wrong with my answer.

Hungary (in reply to: Sharon for you)
Note that based on CIC site, processing in Vienna (where Hungary belongs) is faster than in US.

If i get medical papers in US can i get medicals done in hungary ofcourse by accredited practioner.

Also once medicals are done do i have to go to Embassy here in US to get my Visa stamped ?

it does seem strange to come back to the US for your interview but I am not sure what other options you have. CIC may ask you for additional documents along the way. if they do...make sure you are prompt and as complete as possible. You are highly motivated to have your interview waived. Once your medicals have been requested by CIC they will conduct a International police check. (in addition to the info you provided) they will then request your passport. I believe you can mail your passport rather than attend in person.

I sure hope I am stearing you in the right direction. Hopefully someone else jumps in here.
