Hi Guys,
I have a quick queston. I have applied under Skilled Worker Immigration program. I hope to get the immigration done by May 2005.
Now I have been engaged before I applied for immigration and I plan to get married after the immigration has gone thru. No exception to that. So I´ll be a immigrant by the time I get married.
Anyways, How do I sponser my wife at that time. I live in the Toronto area. Whats the proceedure.

Just wanted to mention it once again - after your case is approved and you get the visa kindly land in Canada to complete the process and then get married.
Visit the website www.cic.gc.ca. They have provided a guide on how to sponsor your spouse.
If your wife is living in another country then you follow the following process:
Your wife will have to fill the application for permanent residence and send it to you . She will have to provide the police certificates, from all the countries where she has lived for more than 6 months, medicals (they are done upfront to minimise the time), and all the proof of ur relationship, including the marriage certificate, phone bills, e-mails, letters and any information of ur contact with ur spouse and every photo of u two together!! Provide every document that u deem neccessary to prove ur relationship with ur spouse.
Then, you will pay the fees of CDN $ 1475 + $75 sponsorship fees, and submit the whole package, including your undertaking application and other forms, to CPC, Mississauga. Then CPC Miss. will approve your undertaking and thereafter, the application of permanent residence of urs would be transferred to the consulate of the country where your spouse lives. Then the local consulate takes a decision on ur case!!
