they will want to validate your points. if they are truly there, and you pass the medical and police checks, there is little reason to expect them to decline you.

don´t forget the most important thing, even if you have 90 points, you must meet the required "settlement funds". pls. see the website for required as per number of family member, bec. it varies. unless you are rich enough to meet that during and at the final stage of your application, you should not have to worry about it.

One more question for you guys, the time when I submit my proof of funds until right now, i have lots of change on my financial situation.
Ok, honestly tell you guys I have no longer that amount of money in there. They went to mutual funds, like equality funds, index funds. I wonder if they ask me to do interview, can I show my mutual fund to them?
In fact, those funds are doing quite good job since last year.

I can even show them my several credit card limited and line of credit, those amount are ten times more than the amount they asked for.

credit limit does not interest them. if the mutal funds are liquid, I am sure they are fine. you will likely be asked to show the ´available funds´ again. The purpose of the money is to keep you alive for 4-6 months once you arrive in Canada. you need to have that money with you the day you arrive - in cash. (relative term)

Yep, once they ask me to show proof again, I probably consider cash my mutual fund. Hopefully CIC will think I have ability to economically establish in Canada. I am not joking around. I seldom heard of people have RRSP in the first day of working. Don??t even mention about mutual fund. However if I don´t cash them into RRSP, which means an income tax bill for the coming year, anyway, PR is more important. I definitely consider retire in Canada if my PR cases will be approved, that??s why I have RRSP eligible mutual fund. However, CIC never thinks problem like that way.

What if I had shown 47,000 USD in a bank statementfor an individual (myself). And when I get my PR and move there if i have only say 15,000 dollars which is still good for an individual migrating. So what will happen? will they want me to show 47,000 USD only??

I don´t thin so, as long as you show them more than the amount they request.
According to Privacy Act, I don??t think CIC can just walk in the bank and ask for how much exactly amount of money in your bank account. Which means even you have 0 in your account right now, however you show the paper which indicated that number, they have no way to know that. If they feel hesitation, they might ask you to provide proof again, that are the only thing they could do.

I am thinking about provide them my updated proof of fund again once I got AOR, I think it??s better to show them before they ask me, because it costs me nothing at all.

How do you think?

my understanding is that they only want to see what they ask for in terms of settlement money. If you intend to bring in additional cash - they will also want to know that. If you choose to leave your investments outside the country you are free to do so. Keep in mind Canada taxes on world wide income.
