Subject: sponsor someone when being sponsored yourself?
hello guys, please help with this subject.

the deal is: can someone who just got PR (his conjugal ex-partner is his sponsor) sponsor their different partner who is their wife (just got married) for her to get PR? Or does it mean that the partner who wants to sponsor has to wait till he gets Citizenship? Or?

YES, u sponsor the new partner>
but, i guess that that u new partner would be called fr an interview to clarify the things.
but as far as sponsoring is concerned, dosent matter if u r a PR or citizen! so, u can sponsor ur new partner

thank you. we are just confused if he can sponsor someone while being sponsored himself by another partner.... but we didnt find any information about it and wether he will be allowed to or not. I guess the only problem (for immigration) can be about our relationship? Maybe its better to give it some time then?

I guess the question would be - was the first relationship fraudulent for immigration purposes. You will need to address that question with CIC. They will also have lots of questions about how this has all come about. At first glance... it does not look very good.

ok but it is possible for relationships to break off right??? what if we give it some time, like 6 months before getting married after recieving PR and 1 year before applying for a spouse visa? I know situation really sucks, but its true that that relationship also existed, but not for long at all.

I would put the question to an immigration consultant. we are not likely going to have clear answers that you should count on. You definitely have yourselves in a difficult situation.

Well... (in reply to: sponsor someone when being sponsored yourself?)
It´s going to sound a bit strange to sponsor a new partner when you just broke with your ex...Don´t you need some time for yourself before getting involved into another relationship??
I have no idea of what CIC may think of this situation but common sense would tell me that the situation is very suspicious.
But that´s just my personal point of view ..It´s better to have your question answered by a professional.

remember, the Canadian sponsor is on the financial hook for 3 years on the initial sponsorship. Breakups etc. mean nothing in this regard to the government of Canada. If you want to prove the relationship to be legitimate, why not go and live in the new partners home country for a year or two and then sponsor them into Canada. Prove to CIC and the rest of us that this is not a cheap and easy way for people to get into the country. After all...if it is love, there should be no hesitation.
