Subject: important question on background check |
i forgot to mention that a country has denied my student visa in the immigration background form. are they going to find out this error in background check or not? i have never been to that country

I don??t think it will affect. For example, if you were denied student visa by U.S, there is no way CIC can ask U.S to provide evidence to CIC.

(in reply to: important question on background check) If your passport bears the "Application Received" stamp and no VISA, then I think you better give some explanation to the CIC before they ask(or worse they refuse your application). If you´re using a different passport then I don´t think it´s necessary. I had once been refused by the US but I submitted the copy of the letter received from US consulate along with my application for PR with the explanation why it was refused in my view. It went through.
