Subject: Contacting Call Centre - Please help!!!
I am finally in the last stages of sponsoring my husband for permanent residence through Paris. We received a letter in the mail today that the processing is nearly complete and we just need to paid the RPRF. However, On February 13th I paid the RPRF online through CIC´s website and sent the receipt in the mail the next day. Now 3 weeks after it was sent, they are saying the payment hasn´t been received although my credit card has already been charged. This is the only thing that is holding up the visa being issued to my husband.

I have tried calling the call centre as was requested by the Paris embassy but unfortunately I can not connect to this number from Europe. Does anyone know how I am able to contact the call centre without the 1 888 number?

Thanks in advance

thanks Yijie for your help. But now I am really stuck. In my letter from the embassy in Paris it tells me to call this number but I am not able to because I live in Europe. And I have to tell them that I paid the RPRF and now how do I this if the number doesn´t work?? The embassy will issue the visa once the payment has been made, which I have already done!!

Calm down, I don??t think there is some serious thing happening. Probably it??s just transaction problem, wait a little bid and see what??s going on.

For 1-888-242-2100, you can only phone them from Mon to Fri, between 8:00??4:00pm local time, I don??t know how it works for people live outside of Canada.

Well I am quite calm. I just have another little problem as my husband and I are to travel to Canada at the end of March for a family event and my visa officer said she would have the case finalized by then. So I paid the RPRF on February 13th yet they are saying that they didn´t get my payment yet. So this is why I am concerned about my payment as time is running out to get everything done before our trip and without the PR visa, my husband can not travel there.

Thanks you for your help. I have decided there is nothing I can do at the moment to help my case so I will wait until Monday again to get some more answers. I wrote an e-mail to my IAD representative in Toronto and he told me to send Paris any receipts that I have to show I paid the RPRF. Even though I have done that already, I will fax it to my case worker again in hopes that she can proceed with issuing the visa. As I do not have any contact with them by phone (nor do I think they answer), I can only fax them the concerning documents.

Starchief I have sponsered my husband who is European.(swedish)
I recieved confirmation on jan21 that I was eligible as a sponser The letter said docs would be sent to Paris as we Live in france, but since then nothing.. Is this normal as I am sure this should be a straight forward spousal application all medical and police reports sent,+ certificate of marriage, pics etc and my husband has only lived in northern european countries so background check should be quick. Could you please share your time line or any -one else who has made a spousal application through Paris

Thanks

Mogs

Ed,

Well it is impossible for me to go to my bank because my bank is in Canada and I am living in Switzerland. I paid my RPRF online through CIC´s website. I sent the receipt that I printed to Mississauga on February 14th so they should have received it. I signed into my bank account in Canada over the internet and saw my credit card has been charged. The only thing I can do is fax the embassy the two pages that I could print during the online payment process to show that the fee has been paid. I hope this will be enough proof to show I´ve paid and that the visa can be issued.
