Cannot believe the horrible situation. The system is so non-transparent.

i applied in jan 2004 and also waiting for pp request. i know my friend and some people online behind already get pp request. i am afraid they are still undergoing security clearance. can you tell me where are you from?

As per my experience if it is showing medical received then there is no need to worry

Please understand that every case is different. After IA the background and security check is initialted. You will only get information from Buffalo after they get the results of these checks.
If you are worried then as suggested above apply for CAIPS notes.

Though it is important where we are from, but many applicants from Pakistan, India and other countries have already received their PP requests. So Dec 2003 applicants, like me, should have received PP request by now.
What is the main factor of this delay is the 1 million dollar question ? I have even given up thinking to answer that.

My friend,
I have applied in May 2003 and did my medicals 4-5 months before you and still waiting for PPR. I do not see anything abnormal in your case. As you may know the 30% of the cases in Buffalo are finalized in 20 months and you still have to wait 5-6 months to reach that point. About processing the applications in Buffalo, there have been a long discussion in this forum and its crystal clear that their system sucks.
