does anybody here know what the IT industry looks like
on vancouver island? i.e., nanaimo, port hardy, etc..
are there a lot of jobs out there for international students with degrees from canada?

I would say Victoria would be your best bet because all the goverment work is there.

do you like call centre? like 1-800 helper desk, there are some telecommunication jobs which is easy to apply

no i have a master´s degree in computer science, i think i can get a much better job than a call center rep, i was thinking more on the grounds of a developer sort of job..
i am currently in calgary and the industry is pretty good here, the problem is i prefer BC..

I am afraid Vancouver Island doesn´t have big company like Alberta has. Don´t forget here is a retire heaven,not industry land.
