| Subject: Medicals- please explain |

Hi there,
I did my medicals in States 2 months ago. If anything was wrong, would the doctor contact me by now, or the results go to Ottawa first and then they contact the applicant?
Once the medicals are send to Ottawa, and once the Buffalo request the medicals, how long does it take for Ottawa people to send it to States?
What is your experience?

Hi George
Medicals will be sent to Ottawa first by DMP and a panel of doctors in Ottawa will review these results and if doubt about your health or some X-rays or other results are not clear you will be asked to do medical again. Per CIC website you have to go to the same doctor where you have gone first for your medicals. DMP will not tell you anything about your medical results nor contact you. Only Buffalo will contact if you need second medicals or not.
Not sure about your secon question but per other forum members you will get Passport request between 4-8 months after you do your medicals and will not be asked to do medicals again.

The Doctor will not dislose the results of your medical, but he or she will tell you if you have a medical condition.
