My boyfriend a US born and in good standing veteran wants to come here and live. He is willing to purchase a home in Ontario outright for us to live in. We will indeed marry when I have a finalized divorce next christmas. Now he does not need to work initially as he is on a steady veterans pension which will make him quite comfortable. Our intent is to keep him as a temporary resident so he will return to the US briefly before the 6 months is over and than return to start the 6 month visitor thing all over again just like when we purchase a home in florida to spend time in. After my divorce is final and we marry, I will apply for PR for him through the spousal path from within Canada which elivates the dreaded path through
Buffalo which you all talk about. Any words of advice from all you experts would be so much appreciated. I read this each and every day, thanks so much for all your help

Have you had any luck? I am in somewhat of a similar situation. My fiance lives in Canada and I am in the US. His parents recently passed away so he needs to be there with his brother and sister. It´s more realistic for me to move there. Although we will be married in a year and a half, we want to move me to Canada now. We, however, keep running into brick walls. Have you had any success? And, do you have any suggestions?
