Subject: help please....importance of regular student
  Hi!
i left studying after matric on 1998. Now i want to know that can i immigrate from Pakistan with my parents in family class.I will be 22 years old on 5th september 2005. and I am still single and financially dependent of parents.
In details, my sister sponsered my parents, me and my younger brother about 20 months ago. Now she send us a letter, which she recieved from CIC-M on 16 june 2004(she send us this letter late due to some personal reasons). the letter looks lake following:
"CASE PROCESSING CENTRE P O BOX 6100, STATION A MISSISSAUGA ONT L5A 4H4"
after on next line name and address of my sister in canada, and then on next line:
"This letter is to confirm receipt of the Application to Sponsor a member of the Family Class that you have submitted."
and so on.....
Now we have to fill ´application for permanent residence in canada´ and sent this letter and supported documents with it, to islamabad office.
My question is that, can i immigrate with parents without a regular student, i am not still 22 years old? guide me please
NOTE:I read the guide(3998e.pdf)for applicants, but confused. When 22 age will count, on the day sponsership application was submitted to cic or when visa will be given to us or when we will send this letter with forms and supported documents to islamabad office? help us. please!

if you are not currently a full time student, you do not qualify as a dependent of your parents.

If you are serious about immigrating to Canada please consult a Lawyer or professional immigration consultant.

have your sister find a consultant in Canada.

I believe the cut off age for family sponsorship is 21 years.

The suggestion is correct about consulting a lawyer. Maybe the lawyer can suggest or find a way for you. However you must make your move fast.

I allready had a discussion about this matter with a lawyer for my family sponsor . So ,as much I know if you r not a regular student but if you r below 22 , your parents can sponsor you as their dependence or even your sister can sponsor you . But still it is best to discuss about the matter with a lawyer May be it will cost you $100 but you better do that .

what i beleive is that depedant below 22 (on the day sponsership application was submitted to cic ) doesnot need to maintain full time student status .
U r very lucky if u are above 22 (on the day sponsership application was submitted to cic )u need to be full time student and financially dependence proof of studies needed till the date u finally landed in canada .
