Subject: Sponsorship of my wife. |

I found out that I need to be in Canada while waiting for my wife´s permanent resident application, through sponsorship, is being processed.
I have two questions about this,
1. How long does the process take?
2. Can I have my wife come with me to Canada using a temporary resident visa?

Spousal Sponsorship (in reply to: Sponsorship of my wife.) 1. Application processing times, depends on each Visa Office. Please see link to the Visa Office, that the application is being processed. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/times/index.html
2. Temporary resident visa is generally refused for applicants whose immigration application is being processed.
I can give you a more detailed and possibly a different answer, if you can provide more details as to your situation

More details. (in reply to: Sponsorship of my wife.) Thankyou Will.
I´ll let you know more of my family´s details.
I´ve been married for about 3 years now and living and working in Thailand. My wife and I have had a child and she has Canadian Citizenship already. We would like to move to Canada, but we don´t want to be separated during the application process. What can we do? Or what is the best thing for us to do to get my wife Permanent Residency?
