Hi All,
I am paying the landing fees in Canadian funds since I am currently residing in Canada. Just to confirm, it has to be paid in favor of
RECIEVER GENERAL OF CANADA
OR
RECIEVER GENERAL FOR CANADA
My immigration agent is a blazing idiot and says that I can send it on either one. My application is being processed in Buffalo.
BUt I just wanted to confirm with u guys for sure.

be careful, both of them are wrong.
should be "
Payment in Canadian dollars must be drawn on a bank located in Canada and payable to the "Canadian Consulate General"
check buffalo.gc.ca please

I disagree, I think if there is instruction over there, just don´t use other payable, use what it said

Someone in CIC gave me wrong info over the phone, but they cashed my cheque with no problems.
