Subject: What is the deal on CAIPS |
|
|
|
Need clarification from someone who has obtained CAIPS notes and is not a Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or a person present in Canada:
1) Can you (if not any of above) obtain your CAIPS note file directly and without a 3rd party?
2) How long from you apply from US do you get the note file?
3) And IF; you go through a 3rd party how long does it take and if anyone has any recommendations for which 3rd party to go through?
Thanks,

(in reply to: What is the deal on CAIPS) Fill out a form IMM 5563.
Send a draft of $5 with it.
You can download the form at:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5563.html
P.S: Unfortunately as confirmed only residents (Citizens, PR, Living in Canada on any other visa) can do the same; else you need to go through a 3rd party
