Today, finally Yijie got AOR.
Skilled worker, apply in Nanaimo, B.C CANADA
Bachelor degree plus two years experience as interpreter.
Post-secondary Graduated Work permit in Canada as a Tourism Vancouver Island tourism visitor centre information assistant.
Timeline:
Nov 25 received in Buffalo, Dec 1st 2004 cash money order
March 10 2005 sent File number from Buffalo
March 15,2005 received file number in Nanaimo,. B.C
It actually mentioned 36 weeks backlog.
After my file number there is a (pps)
Don??t know what??s that!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is that the officer??s initial?
I got a receipt of my money order.
On the receipt it actually shows my file number, and the receipt date is Dec 1st, 2004.
It took me about 4 month to actually get the AOR, funny, why don??t they just give it to me when they originally generated back to Dec 2004?
Another thing surprise me is in the AOR letter, all page is print no manual written.
They didn??t mention anything about E-CLIENTS?
Is that mean even CIC over Buffalo doesn??t really trust e-client?
They didn??t instruct me to use e-client tool as the manual said.

one thing i need mention, this four month, I am hassle-free without fax letter to buffalo, i know i gonna get it.
36 weeks indicated buffalo has already come back to normal as i guess.

I guess you meant to see it from e-client. This is what I am hoping for. I did my medical in Dec. 04.

I think somebody is playing with you Yijje. Did you give your adderss to anybody on this group?
CIC is all computerized, they don´t use pen and paper to write to their applicant.
Keep checking on faq.

Yijie, I think you were saying that the letter did not have any handwriting? that is not a surprise. It would be a form letter that automatically fills in your details. the technical term is a mail merge. CIC does not have time for a nice-nice letter.
I think people got the impression someone sent you the AOR as a hand written letter, and they were getting concerned that someone was playing bad jokes on you. I think all is OK.

Hello Yijie,
You should not be receiving anything that is hand written. If there is it should be several check marks or elaborated explanation on actual computer typed page.,
If it is all hand written, I would suggest you to make sure it is from immigration.
