Subject: FBI clearance after AOR
Hi. I applied in Aug 2004 and got my AOR in OCt 2004. I am expecting my initial assessment to happen soon.

My question is, should I go ahead and start the fingerprinting etc. even before they are asked for? I understand that in the US the wait times are considerable so I wanted to get a head start.

If yes, can you please tell me exactly what I have to do? Many thanks.

MAP,
I´d suggest you get the FBI clearance done after in 2 months. You are at a 7 month time right now... After 2 months you will be at a 9 month period and FBI will take about a month to get the documents. So you can have the FBI Clearance papers on hand on the 10th month.

The results are valid for I think about 3 months... so you are looking at the validity till 13 months from the date of your application...

With the assumption that the cases are processed in 12 months at Buffalo... you should be in good shape there...

So yeah... I´d suggest after 2 months or so...

Good Luck...
