I applied on the first week of Dec, and was in total quagmire till today. Today I found that my draft was cashed on 24th of December. It seems Buffalo office is really prompt to cash the draft, however really lousy just to say" Hey arm we got ur document, btw thanks for the money". Do u think them cashing the check means at least they aint gonna return my application? OR this whole canada immigration is one of the biggest revenue for Canada.(show me the money!)

Buffalo received my application Dec 28, 2004. They cashed the $930.00 USD money order right away. I, too, am still waiting for AOR. That´s the way they do things. We are at their mercy and can do nothing but WAIT!
If they cashed the money order they won´t be sending your application back. I read somewhere in their operations manuals that the procedure is to send everything back, including the money order, if they can not accept your application. So, hang tight and join the waiting game.

Hey Guys,
Chill out!!! Its too early for you. I know someone who applied in Oct 2004 and got his aor today. He is doing it through lawyers though. It says on his e-client status as started processing on march 10, 2004

Just understand this... Because you have paid your $550 doesnt mean they are aobliged to bow before you and get back to you right away...
Yes... they will cash the money right away... adn yes... they will reply whenever they want...
The immigration officers sitting there dont really care about you and me... They will just do the things a required and they have to follow the book given to them...
Even if they want they cannot do anything about it...
Its how the system works...
They expect us to be prompt with dates but when its their turn it doesnt matter..
So the only advise I can give you is to be like me...
Just shut up and wait and pray that the devil doesnt interupt in our process
