Subject: Bank Statements |
Hi,
I know this question has been asked before but for how many years would CIC ask to give a bank statement?
Also, do they ask for bank balance when medical is submitted or when you are landing in canada?
Thanks

(in reply to: Bank Statements) they want a current bank statement at the point of application. throughout your waiting process they have the option to request 3 months of statements to insure your money is not moving in and out of your account. They want to know the funds are truly yours and available for immigration. they will also want to see your money in either cash/travellers cheques/draft or as a balance in a Canadian bank in your name exclusively (or joint if you come with a spouse) when you land.
Bottom line...Canada wants to be sure you are coming into the country with adequate funds to support yourself once you arrive.
