| Subject: Case/File number expected time frame? |
I was wondering how long does it take to have a file number received, after your application documents are received in the Buffalo NY office?
I haven´t received anything back, and its almost 8 weeks passed.
Any input? Thanks.

don´t worry, wait for 8 more weeks....becasue they are takeing 3 to 4 months to give a file number.

Thanks, this one line reply calmed me much!! I appreciate it. Meanwhile I better check on the status of the money order to see if they are encashed/processed, through a post office querry?

Cashing money doesnt really give any ideas...
I am just not sure whats going on at the CIC office... BTW what CIC office did u apply...
I got my AOR(File number) in one month from Buffalo... but these days they are taking about 3-4 months as previously said... Its just crazy... I just cant understand their system...
I dont care what they are doing... I just want the immigration out of my way... so that I can start donating to the Canadian economy and call myself a Happy tax payer...

I already mentioned in my starting post, Buffalo NY. By the way when did you send your application and when did you get the AOR?
One friend mentioned yogi, and just from there it appears that almost all the guys who applied in January2005 haven´t got their AOR and are still awaiting...... so we´ll see when they´re gonna issue the AOR.
