Hi,
I had the medical exam on Jan, 2004. Does anyone know how long I need to wait to receive the visa status? Thanks.

Hi,
First you have to pass the medical test. If there are no further tests required then your medical is over and probably you have to wait till your Security-check gets over.
Security-check(Background-check) depends upon the past and present countries you lived. Again, if those countries are involved in war or politically instable then Security-check might take longer then usual. Usually, Security-check takes 2 to well over a year.
If you are concerned about the reason of longer waiting time then you should obtain the CAIPS notes.

Sanrup buddy,
You are really helping us out here.One question to you,I got a letter from CIC,Buffalo that I am required to give interview.
Is there any way I can request them to reconsider there decision cause I have submitted my IELTS results afterwards?
What are the cuurent timelines for Interview after initial assessment?
