Subject: family sponsor . do I need to stay in Canada ?
  hello
I have been living in canada for few years . and I got my canadian passport recently . I sponsored for my parents and younger brother almoslt 3 years ago . Now i have a very good job oppurtinity in U.S.A. , I am thinking to go for that job . Now my question is , if I go to U.S.A. and my parent get there papers that time will it be a problem because I am not in Canada that time ?
Any advice/ suggestion will be appreciated .

I´m not sure what it is for parental sponsorship, but I know for spousal sponsorship the sponsor must be residing in Canada before their spouse becomes landed or re-enter the country permanently at the same time their spouse becomes landed. I would assume that the same would apply to parental sponsorships. So, yes...I believe that there would be a problem if you are working in the U.S when your parents get their PR visas. You would have to return to Canada before they become landed to insure that you meet your sponsorship obligations.

Thank you very much for the response . I also thought that I need to come back before my parents enter Canada . But the problem is I am not sure if I need to work in canada that time or is it o.k. if I just come back and recieve them .( I know they are my responsibilty as the law and I am o.k. with that )
