I think these are all sophisticated crimes in this sophisticated country...
Like... They had all the evidences but still they did not beleive that... Actually there was this lady to whome one of the guy had said that he did plant a bomb in the suitcase but still the judge said that her testimony is not creditable...
What more can you ask...
On the other hand... Its a judge... and they are suppose to be "UNBIASED" about people and we have to trust them...
What I dont really understand is that the case runs for 20 years... they spend 130 million dollars of the tax payers money... and even after 20 years they do not come to a conclusion... WHAT KIND OF SYSTEM IS THIS ???
The two people caught under suspicion had 50 million in their defence account... against the state and other people who could not even gather a fraction of it...
These are some heavy duty sophisticated crimes on this country... The news channels have show videos of these two fundamantalists claiming that they will not rest until they ahve killed 50,000 Hindus and still the Judge cant see any thing in that...
This is just wierd... I am from India myself... I know a little bit about their background... Its crazy... This kind of behaviour puts me into shame to say that these men did belong to my country at one point of time...
Its Sad... really sad...
Sorry I could not keep my emotions out of this... I know its an immigration forum but... anyways...

Harshal... i heard a radio commentator say a very interesting thing yesterday. ´justice was served in a very narrow way´. In terms of the court system and what it requires to convict... the judge could not connect all the dots. I cannot imagine the public, financial (cost of the trial) and emotional pressure he must have felt to convict - but he did not. They say it is a great day for the Canadian court system. If this has been the US...
At the same time, I think there is no doubt in most people´s minds that the crown has tried the correct people. I am not convinced a public inquiry will tell us more than we know. So many policies and procedures have already been changed as a result of this case.
Mr. Malik and Mr. Bagra will have to answer for this crime at a later date to a much higher judge.
