| Subject: Who knows about background checking-please help |

It is about 14 months that I have done my medical...january 2004.. I have sent several faxes to Buffalo...They answered one of them...Background checking...does anybody know that how long will it take? It´s really frustrating...please somebody help me... I appreciate any kind of information...

Afraid no one has a clear answer to what goes on background check. I had thought that once you submit FBI document and from countries you have lived in that should suffice the requirements or at least make process faster.
14 months is too much; don´t the medicals expire after 1 year?
My medicals were completed in October 2004 - I have sent 2 faxes in Feb and March, however no one has replied.
Maybe you can send another fax and ask status.

background checks are supposed to take 3 to 6 months at most!
u should send a fax and ask fr ur status
they might be screwing up something!

6 - 8 months is not uncommon. But 14 months is too late.

Hi disappointed
My medical was done early june 04 and background check
was ordered early Nov.2004.(based on my CAIPS notes).
So your CAIPS notes will show when they really started you background check.
