| Subject: London case --> Medical in India possible? |

Hi forum friends,
I am moving from Canada to UK on a 2 year visa after completing my studies here and thus would be submitting by Immig. application to the London CIC office by mid-April.
Since I might be shunting between UK & India I wanted to know if everything goes right (in processing) would I be able to request & give my medical tests in India? In any case I wouldn´t want to transfer my case to India as that´ll push me into a grand Marathon run.
In case I want to leave UK for India before 2 years can I ask my close friend in UK to keep me posted about my appli. so that CIC London considers me to be still in UK. I would be able to furnish CIC London´s requirements through my UK friend. Does this planning/ options make sense to you pundits.
Your valuable advices & expereinces would be highly appreciated.

Yes. Just inform the CIC office you are delaing with with your new mail in India. They will send you the medicals there. However, they will remain mailing you to your UK address as applied. Your freind can update you .
I have done the same applied in Cairo, Egypt and followed up and made medicals in Dubai, UAE. I got the visas now and landing soon.

I did the same thing and no problems so far...
Just make sure you do not tell the CIC london of this... let them do the work as they do it and do not over burden them with the fact that you are travelling between India and UK.
I did that and they made me get the PCC from India and stuff which was a hassel so better avoid it and just dont inform the CIC.
In regards to the medicals... whoever does the medicals the results go to Ottawa.(I know this as I am in Toronto and applied to Buffalo. for us it goes to Ottawa and I think if medicals are done in Asia then it goes to Singapore... but do not quote me on that) Anyways the deal is that your CIC post where you applied will get the results in due time and then if things are all okey then you will be granted the VISA..
Make sure you keep track of all your presence as they will ask you for detailed letters and explaination once they issue your the IA.

All medicals will go to Ottawa no matter where you do it. Medicals done in Asian countries will also go to Ottawa.

Thanks a lot to you all for your help, it has helped clear certain procedural questions I had in mind.
Hey, :-) would u b able to explain me more as to what you are referring to when you wrote- "Make sure you keep track of all your presence as they will ask you for detailed letters and explaination once they issue your the IA."
I am just at the beginning of the ladder so do not know the future requirements of CIC. Does CIC seek info as to what you are upto after IA??
